    LABOR DAY WEEKEND TRAVEL FORECAST!

    Northeast:
Pleasant weather expected for the Northeast after this latest round of storms move out. It should be mainly dry except for a few pop-up thunderstorms.

In Upstate New York and Northern New England, daytime highs will be comfortable in the 60's and 70's.

Even warmer temperatures expected from New York down through the Mid-Atlantic with highs in the 80's!

    West:
Another surge of tropical moisture will move into the Southwest, which will bring widespread thunderstorms across the four corners region, as well as the mountains and deserts of Southern California. Some of these slow moving storms could cause flash flooding. Highs will stay in the 90's inland.
Closer to the coast it will be beautiful beach weather, sunny skies with highs in the 80's.
In the Northwest, the latest stalled out front will push out for the holiday weekend, so expect drier conditions with highs in the 60's and 70's.

    Midwest:
After a bout of record heat in the Midwest, relief is in store for the holiday weekend! Highs will be 15 to 30 degrees cooler then it's been. Going from triple digit heat, to comfortable daytime highs in the 70's and 80's.

A strong disturbance could cause isolated severe storms in Northern Michigan, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin over the weekend. There is a possibility of strong wind gusts, hail and even isolated tornadoes.

    South:
Hot, dry and humid conditions can be expected for much of the region. Typical afternoon pop up thunderstorms expected, especially over South Florida where there has been a stalled out upper Low.
Highs will range in the 90's for much of the region. Except for Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana, where some areas could make it into the 100's.

*Quick weather note: This has been the quietest Atlantic Hurricane Season since Sept 2002!

Have a wonderful safe Labor Day weekend everyone!

    xo,
    Jackie
